由于工业污染或地下地质结构的特殊性,在有些地区的饮用水中会含有微量的高氯酸根。这些微量高氯酸根的存在会影响人体染色体和生殖细胞的形成产生负面影响并降低人体的甲状腺功能。D407-11 是一种大孔苯乙烯系阴离子交换树脂,由于其特殊的功能基团而对水中的高氯酸根具有特别强的吸附力,可以从含有大量其它阴离子的溶液中选择性吸附高氯酸根,从而消灭饮用水中高氯酸根对人体健康的不良影响。同时,D407-11 也可以用于从海水中吸附硝酸根和亚硝酸根从而减少海水养殖水的富营养化。
Because of industrial pollution or special geological structures, the drinking water in some area from ground water or surface water might contain very ltte amount of Perchlorate. Because of its known interference with thriod gland's ability to uilize iodine and produce thyriod hormones, and it can affect adversely the formation of Chromosome and genital cells, the presence of perchlorate in drinking water is a big health concern. D407-111 is a macroporous polystyrene-based anion exchange resin. It can selectively adsorb Perchlorate from water containing various other anions, so that the adverse effect of perchlorate will be eliminated completely. This resin can also be used to selectively adsorb Nitrate and Nitrite from sea water, to decrease the sea water eutrophication in sea water farms.
When used to remove nitrate and nitrite from sea water, D407-I1 resin can be regenerated with 2-3BV of 8-10% NaCl and 1-2% HCI.
